perfect, friendly staff.
✓ The property and all hotel staff are fantastic. Good location, not far from tourist landmark Thamel in Kathmandu.
✗ The ground-floor room is not perfect for me to stay long-term. Not able to see the view out site, and some times the room smells like mud. The hotel seemed not busy while I was there. I have no idea why they are providing me with a ground-floor room.

Great heritage Hotel with all amendities and style
✓ It is a beautiful old palace, well equipped and very centrally located. Very attentive staff, great pool and garden area. The rooms are properly equipped and functional.
✗ The bread selection for brekafast could have been better (rolls, sour dough), the rooms are a bit on the smaller side and on the 6th floor it was only very small window. Fitness section rather limited.

Grand old-style hotel in good location
✓ The staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with a swimming pool. We ate in both the bar and the restaurant and the food was very good. The souvenir shop was good and the owner was very helpful. The hotel arranged everything for us via their tour desk.
✗ Not much really. The rooms were a little dark and not very spacious but that was the nature of the rooms. Everything worked fine such as the WiFi and safe.

A very comfortable stay by Nepalese standards on par with 4 star European hotels
✓ breakfast was OK. a mix of local and western dishes. 15 usd so quite expensive by Nepalese standards. but handy if you don't want to leave the hotel
