My 2nd stay and love this hotel and location

✓ Beautiful views from our balcony Only a short walk to the town or port. Everything very close.

The hotel of my dreams!

✓ This was one of my favourite stays. The staff were amazing and so helpful, the view breathtaking, the room clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. I can't wait to come back again.

Check before you buy, as all is not what it seemed to be!!

✓ Location only - the room itself was not fit for purpose

✗ The property was not set up as pictured on website. We specifically looked for properties that had a double and two single beds for 4 adults. When we arrived there was a double sofa bed in the main living area next to the existing double bed, with only one single in the adjoining room. The sofa bed took up far too much room and had no mattress or protection on it. When investigating the single room further we noticed significant damage to the wall and peeling paint, which meant it was not conducive for my Mother in law to use the room as she had just recovered from pneumonia. We sought out the reception to position all this to be initial told we could not speak to the owners and that they were full with no other options. This was not acceptable and when we insisted we were told there was nothing they were willing to do. I found this totally unacceptable and requested the immediate refund on my advance payment, as the property had been sold on a false premise

A lovely getaway!

✓ It was a beautiful property with a great view of the water below. The family room was large and had plenty of room. Breakfast was great!

✗ The beds were so hard and uncomfortable, they need to at least put mattress toppers on them or replace mattresses.

✓ Both the premises and the stuff were perfect! The experience exceded my expectations! Syrou Melathron is located in "Vaporia", near the city center (5 min. on foot), above of one the best locations of the island, ideal also for swimming.

✓ Outstanding hotel in a historic building. Great view of the ocean - rooftop seating area is very nice. Syros is an upscale Greek island - lots of good restaurants and not crowded. Prices are lower here than the touristy islands. Easy to see that Syros is being prepped to become the next hot place for wealthy travelers.
