✓ I had a wonderful stay at Centre Ville. The location is perfect, beds are comfy, the breakfast is tasty but the thing that struck me most was the amazing hospitality of the owners. I was there during the floods in Franschoek end of September. Nobody could go in or out of Franschoek, stores and restaurants were closed, there was no electricity or running water... Even in these circumstances Jaco and Elsa went out of their way to take care of all their guests. Keeping the fireplace burning, making sure we were warm, dry and fed. They even prepared lunch and dinner for everybody! They even provided hot meals and drinks for people in the community and other guesthouses that had been flooded. I had an absolutely amazing time and will definitely come back!

✓ The service was excellent and Elsa and Jaco were so welcoming. Excellent location - close to main road. Loved the breakfast. Lovely bedding. Loved the inclusion of coffee, rusks and sherry in the bedroom.

✗ The dry walls are really not noise-friendly, so be prepared to be kept awake if you have loud or nocturnal neighbours.
