Comfortabl and calm oasis in the heart of the bastide

✓ The B&B is a hidden oasis, I loved how cool and quiet the rooms and shady garden are. The bed was very comfy, the aircon is very effective and quiet, and the waterfall shower is powerful and plenty of hot water. The pool was perfect too; just the right temperature to cool down in, and long enough to do short lengths. Towels provided for the pool are also a bonus. Finally breakfast is fantastic and set me up for a day of sightseeing. As a solo traveller I felt very safe, and the owners were really helpful and gave excellent recommendations.

✗ I loved everything. Carcassone itself was very hot and very busy, so in future I’d avoid going in August.

Beautiful, peaceful retreat in the heart of Carcassonne.

✓ Beautiful accommodation, great central location. Loved being able to relax in the courtyard. Lots of lovely little touches like the drinks station outside our room. We weren't the easiest of customers beforehand with a few change of plans but everything was accommodated for us.

✗ The only changes I would make would be to warm the pool ever so slightly (I am a bit of a wimp about cold water but it was OK once in) and perhaps to offer breakfast ever so slightly earlier (my shuttle bus to the airport was 8am on Monday so I missed it).

✓ I loved everything about my stay on 4th and 5th November 2022. I received a warm welcome from Arnaud and Véronique and felt at home immediately. The room was full of character, as is the whole house and garden with the swimming pool. Spacious room, amazing shower and a huge comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Homemade yogurt, orange juice and three choices of homemade jam every morning, plus ham and cheese, selection of bread and croissants and plenty of coffee. I felt so relaxed and enjoyed exploring the Bastide area. The recommended restaurants were wonderful. Easy 20 minute walk to the Medieval City with magnificent views when crossing on the Pont Neuf. I would most definitely recommend staying at Les Chambre l'aime. I hope to return in 2023. Thank you Véronique and Arnaud for making my stay so perfect.
