Campanile Rennes Centre - Gare

Great for the price.

✓ Breakfast surprised me with how many options it had. Rooms were comfortable. Location was great.

✗ Room was kind of falling apart, breakfast needed something with fiber.

A great stay after which I will definitely return again

✓ Great location opposite the train station but less than 10 mins walking from the shopping center and 15 from city center. The room is spacious and clean so is the bathroom. The staff is lovely and helpful - the nicest staff I met across hotels in Rennes surrounding the train station. The lounge area at the reception looks cosy and breakfast looks great too (I'm not a breakfast person).

✗ No mini fridge is especially cumbersome in the summer.

✗ The carpeting in the room was old and it was unpleasant to walk barefoot, loud noise of running water in the shower because of which I was always waking up during the night

Nice

✓ All staffers were friendly, kind, and polite. There place was really near the station. It was very useful. The room was clean. Probably, If I would come back to Rennes, I will book here again.

Decent place, especially if you come by train

✓ Perfect location if you come by train, just across the street from the railway station. Decent breakfast, but they also cook food for you at any time -- this was great as I arrived at 2.30pm and all the restaurants in the city close at that time. The receptionist's communication style was a bit chill but the restaurant that she recommended to me was fabulous.

✗ The elevators are annoyingly slow and the stairs are not accessible. My room was facing the street where the next building was a bar, so it was quite noisy till late in the night. For breakfast they put all cutlery in a glass handles down, so that you have to touch that part where you eat from - easy thing they could improve.
