Affittacamere Margherita is set in La Spezia, a 5-minute walk from La Spezia Train Station providing direct links to the 5 Terre Regional Nature Park. It is located in a historical building with original 1800s patio. Every room has a flat-screen TV.

✓ Amazing location, clean and perfect nights sleep!
✓ Very comfortable and airy rooms, with an incredibly friendly host. Located very handily and close to the main station. I used this as a base for the Cinque Terre and it worked very well. If you get a chance, also visit Portovenerre, which is beautiful.
✗ No issue with the room, and just a minor thing, but gaining entry to the building could be clearer as could which lift to get (I found someone and asked them). I was a bit later than originally planned though (I let the host know and he was very accommodating) and had I arrived at the original time, I think he would have met me outside and this would not be an issue.
✓ location
✗ there was no pre instructions on the check in
✓ The location is fantastic if you aim to visit the cinque terre, being just 2 minutes walk to the station. The reception was very friendly, great with advice and accommodated a late arrival. The room is large and simple. Bathroom functional and clean. I would recommend to stay there.
✗ A bit expensive considering you are not staying directly in Cinque Terre. But it's similar everywhere.
✓ comfortable and very close to the central train station. The landlord is quite friendly and hospitable, introducing the whole area to me.
✓ if all you need is a place to sleep and keep your stuff while exploring Cinque Terre, the rooms in this Affitacamere is a good value. My friend and I had 2 single beds, a private bathroom with shower and soap/shampoo and towels provided. there were adequate electrical outlets for our devices. the beds were fine. you can’t open the window because the building outside is being renovated. breakfast is a non-event, just the typical coffee and brioche in a caffe across the piazza. the location is only a few minutes walk to the La Spezia train station. Raffaello was really nice and welcoming!
✗ the elevator door needs some fixing as it wasn’t easy to open the gate.
✓ it’s a charming building with character
✗ I had no view at all and you need to remember at 6 floors up to take water / food etc as there is nothing supplied (which is fine just a point)
✓ Nice owner, great location nearby train station
✗ The breakfast is a coupon for a restaurant across the street but it's only valid for a coffee and a croissant. We were travelling for work and then you expect something else.
