Set in the countryside just 2 km outside of Cáceres, this site of wooden chalets provide the ideal setting for a family break in rural Extremadura.

✓ Nothing.
✗ The fact that they wouldn't accommodate me with a small change to my booking when they still had vacancies.
✓ I may not have been wearing my glasses when I looked at the property pictures when booking, but the place looks better than I thought it would. I booked a private cabin which looked lovely. The inside is wood decor, the bed slept really nice, and the bathroom was functional. Outside is a little terrasse with chairs and table. The view was of the pool (closed for the season/March) and a little grass area. The wifi in my room worked really well. The campground has several types of accomodations, including tent/camper (with private shower/toilet) and larger cabins with full kitchen. It has a restaurant on site and also a gym. The gym could use some maintenance. There is a lot of trees and a peaceful vibe, although it is close to the freeway. The location is not in the city center. It's best if you have a car. Parking is free on site, and secure. If you visit Caceras for Extramadura birdwatching, it's a great central location to visit many of the natural/national park. Bird tip: I was looking to get good photos of Iberian Magpies. None to be found in the parks. They were all at the pool in front of my hotelroom HAHA! Also treecreepers right where all the cabins are.
✗ It's not listed on the property page but it looked like there was a space for a fridge, but there was none. It would be great to have a fridge for longer stays. Or I guess you can book the larger accomodation.
✓ Good location. Access to a walking trail.
✗ Kitchen very poorly equipped.
✓ The staff on the campsite were extremely friendly and helpful. The bungalow was spacious for one or two people. Heating in living area and bathroom good. Bed comfortable. Nice bar/restaurant on site. Generally a nice environment.
✗ The kitchen facilities were very limited and not enough crockery, cutlery or general equipment provided. The few plates provided were dirty and had to be washed before they could be used.
✓ Perfect for a stopover between Portugal and the ferry at Santander. Easy to find with SatNav. Bungalow No.3 was clean, warm and had free parking at the door. Free WiFi was excellent. Bus L5 outside goes straight into beautiful Cáceres. Covid mask still worn on the bus. €1.10 each way. I wish I could have stayed longer.
✗ Nothing.
✓ Excellent great location and services on site
✗ NA
✓ Excellent value for money and well placed outside the city to be easily reached from the main routes
✗ Not a lot given our expectations of this value-for-money locatiion.
