Ramon Suites by Smart Hotels

I had reserved a room for 3 people. It barely held 2.

✓ Fine.

A very pleasant stay; would go back in the future.

✓ Spacious room; nice furnishings.

✗ Some of the furniture is worn-down

Thank god I was there only one night.

✓ Breakfast was just okay. At least they had a cappuccino machine. Staff was brusque and unhelpful. The property was a mess. There were cleaning supplies left all over the place. The pool was not as it appeared in the picture and was unappetizing. The room itself was clean and functional. The television did not work. Neighborhood is not near anything and not not great.

✓ Comfortable, clean, excellent service, delicious breakfast, good facilities, great location, value for money. Would definitely recommend!

I would stay again, but would not pay for a "better" room as we did not see any difference

✓ The location was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the pillows were good.

✗ WE were told we would have a room with a balcony and we paid extra for it, but we did not have a balcony. I don't think any of the rooms actually have a balcony.

Pleasant

✓ The one problem is the stairs. To use the ramp to access the hotel you need to go around it. We received a room on the third floor, no lift and up several narrow flights of stairs. There is no bellboy service so... on check-out we pointed out, that it would be helpful to know about the stairs and lack of a lift, when making the reservation, so one can decide and perhaps ask for a room on a lower floor. The receptionist said - but it is not so steep. I pointed out that that is for the guest to decide, according to age and physical ability... The suite is nice, a bedroom and sitting room. The refrigerator was not on we had to find a way to switch it on. We asked to make the sofa into a bed. It was opened and bed clothes were left, on it, but the bed was not made, so we had to make the bed ourselves.. The phone did not work. there is a swimming pool on site. Breakfast was nice but very average. They have soy and almond milk, fruit and cereal, but oo other vegan options. To be fair it was enough for me so I didn't ask for vegan cheese or for anything else

✗ The steep staircase and no lift or luggage service. Better coffee and fresh juice (not artificial tasting juice) would have also been nice

If not for the reception staff and reasonable room we may have not stayed.

✓ Reception staff were superb Breakfast was plentiful although more bread should have been provided All staff were friendly

✗ Reception area was drab and not worthy of a 4* rating. More than made up by friendly and helpful reception staff. Dinner choice was limited - especially vegetable choices. Bathroom needed modernising. Towels too small. Brochure area was untidy and needed better information on what to do / where to go in Mitzpe Ramon
