✗ my room what I booked was not available. so the gave me a room. sooooo big. I think the room the bed the shower everything was toooo big. you can make 3 rooms instead of 1 here. they were working and didn’t say this on the internet. they where painting with a really bad smell. I left. I talked to the manager and he apologized.

Absolute Gem for Divers!

✓ This place is amazing! I loved it and will be back, 100%. If you're a diver, everything has been thought through carefully to make your stay and dives as good as a dream. The food, the staff, the facilities, the dives, everything was on point. Definitely recommend it.

✗ The rules of snorkeling were not posted on the website, so due to limited selection of the wetsuits I was unable to be in the water. This could have been avoided if I had known to bring my own.

✓ The food and staff at the restaurant were incredible. We enjoyed the Beduin lounge and the desert star excursion was really good (super informative and really relaxing).

✗ I liked the resort, but personally found the staff by the reception and dive centre generally bad at communicating. The check-in briefing missed out a lot of useful information, for example we had no idea that Marsa Shagra offered non-diving excursions and that if we wanted to go we needed to book a day in advance and confirm by 5pm. This meant we wasted the first two days. Generally, the staff would often contradict one another and would never quote costs accurately which was really frustrating. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you are a diver and you are staying for more than 5 days. There is not much to do otherwise. You have to spend a first day doing two check dives before being allowed to go on an excursion the following day. The diving packages offered and only good value for money if you plan on staying for c.5 days or more.
