✓ The room was big and great for our family. The view was amazing.

Poor value for money, non-existent service & dirty rooms

✓ Property was modern, well appointed and decently sized - equipped with a full kitchen. Views of the lake from the living room.

✗ Check-in process was terrible - nobody manned the reception (very surprising given the price of the hotel). We had to stop another guest to let us in and show us where to pick up the keys. There was no message on booking.com to tell us how to check in. Really poor service. Room was not clean - we could smell the previous guests (the room smelt like exotic spices / curry). The shower had long black hair on the walls from the previous guests that had not been cleaned - which frankly was quite disgusting. Sofas had crumbs, assuming that this was also from the previous guests. Definitely not worth the price - we will not be back.

✗ only had breakfast there and it was very basic for a hotel. We couldn’t do laundry after 4pm which is difficult when you’re moving around during the day. Minor issues.

Fabulous

✓ Berg- & Seeblick Pfefferbauer is a wonderful place to stay -- like having your own private pied- à -terre with a stunningly gorgeous view and with some additional resources available in the lobby. I was so wowed that I asked about tacking on an additional day to my stay, but unfortunately they didn't have the availability. Berg- & Seeblick Pfefferbauer is like Heaven on Earth!

✗ There are just a few things I wish I had known ahead of time: 1. I had indicated my arrival time but found a locked door when I arrived. A passerby urged me to call the property but my (American) cell phone didn't have coverage for international calls -- so I had to borrow a phone to call them. We worked out the check-in procedure on the phone, but I wish the process had been clearer from the start. 2. I was very pleasantly surprised that guests receive a discount card that provides savings on nearby sites. This would have been good to know about ahead of time as well, to help with planning activities. 3. I was also very pleasantly surprised that a washing machine and dryer were available for a modest fee. (Americans should be aware that the dryer is not as high-powered as what they are used to and the drying rack on the balcony will likely need to be used as well.) 4. The GPS initially took me to the wrong location, so there was a little guesswork involved in finding the property. Also be aware that the property is located on a narrow and steep road that some may find difficult to navigate. 5. There is a front desk but it is staffed for very limited hours. This is not outwardly a problem, just something to be aware of. All of the above could easily be addressed with a little more communication with guests. I would go back in a heartbeat!

✓ Kind people and good accommodation made me comfortable during 2 days. Event though I arrived at the hotel 1 hour early, they helped us early check-in with pleasure. It is located upon hill and it means fantastic view is guaranteed. Almost everything is prepared here. Laundry / dry machine is 2 euro for each. This area is not famous for Korean so, I didn't know here at all. But so many activities to enjoy made our family happy. Especially summer cards are included in the payment. So you don't need to pay more for activities. Location is also fantastic. I strongly recommend here. I will visit here again.

Location is very bad, in the middle of no where and no life around it

✓ Appointment is very big and you find everything you need in the kitchen

✗ I have arrived around 4:00 p.m. and I did inform them earlier about my arrival time. main door was locked and I had no international SIM card to call the phone number that was written in the door. I waited around 20 minutes until accidentally the one of the receptionist came in. If it’s a first time for you in Zell am see this is not the perfect hotel for you, because whenever you have a question or you need assistance, you will not find any one in the reception. The hotel location is in the middle of no where, no cafe or restaurant around, nearest cafe is 20 minutes by walking, and it’s not easy to walk especially in the winter time. Bed is not comfortable
