I really enjoyed my stay here thank you!

I loved the atmosphere of this property both the physical decor and the social vibe it created. The staff were all super friendly and gave lots of good recommendations. The showers and bathroom were clean and amenities were provided.

My only complaint would be that the common area sometimes had a strong smell of cigarettes.

would visit again if i can

was a very clean, cozy and homely place. thoroughly enjoyed my stay there :) staffs were friendly and approachable too

beds could be abit creaky but it shouldn’t be a bother if you’re a deep sleeper. i was more worried of being a disturbance to others hahaha

Best backpacker stay in Kyoto

Lovely, social guest house! This is the nicest hostel I stayed in Japan. A cute old Japanese house that is turned into a hostel. The rooms are spacious. The mattress is thin as per usual in Japan. But my favourite was the living room, where you can take a meal, meet other travellers, play many board games and see the beautiful little garden. The staff is absolutely lovely, too. Highly recommend, amazing value for money!

Good

There’s everything except towel. You need to pay for it if you want. Every bed has a curtain.

There’s no key/pin to enter your room, you can just walk-in.

Fabulous

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dorms were comfortable and the general indoor and outdoor spaces were very traditional and chill. Great value for money.

It could maybe be a tiny bit closer to the center... but then again Kyoto is a big city...

You can get an authentic experience for a very good price

I liked it was a traditional Japanese house very close by walking to the Kyoto station. The vibe was really nice and the interior garden was beautiful. There was a free selection of tea and hot water provided. The kitchen was big. The rooms were nice, and there was privacy (curtains around the beds) and lockers. The common room was very nice to hang out in. They also have games and books you can use. Totally recommend this place!

You had to pay extra for some amenities such as towels or pajamas but the prices are ok.

Fabulous

Gorgeous old building, wonderful amenities, super friendly staff

Be careful, because if you type in the name on google maps it sends you a few kilometers north of where you need to be. However they send you a link to the accurate google map location before you arrive. Make sure to use that one, lol

Exceptional

A very nice hostel with a beautiful garden and a comfortable common area to hang out. Lots of books and board games you can borrow. The dormitory also has a locker and hangers, a lovely house, and friendly staff.
