✓ Shakya house is now my family. Came here last month as a guest and left as a family. This time on booking.com i did not need to look any where else. Straightaway got a positive response. Requested airport shuttle and Sajjan made it possible to get it a at a very very cheap price. He was even up early morning and communicating with me as soon as i landed and at every single step from there onwards. Received me personally and made sure that i get the maximum comfort. Just loved it

✓ Shakya house is a family run guest house by Mr Hema, his Wife Shanti and their son Sajjan. What a beautiful family and what a lovely service they provide. It is right that you come here as a guest but leave as a family. I had stayed here for just a little over two weeks in a deluxe room. Prior to my arrival I emailed them as my flight was arriving very early and got a very quick reply and they happily accommodated me for the extra 6 hours free of cost. Right from the beginning I was very warmly welcomed by them and their team members Rana and Manica. They showed me to a very comfortable room which has all the amenities and was very clean, tidy and spacious. Throughout my stay each and every person made sure that they do their best and offer the best service to the customers. I was at times late or very early for breakfast due to my work commitments but without a wrinkle on their forehead or even asking any questions they set up the service just for me. From very simple things they made sure that I feel at ease and I sure did. In simple terms I am glad that I chose Shakya house and now I have a family to look to in Nepal on every single trip I will make in future. Having lived all life in UK it is not easy for any simple guest house to meet the expectations but Shakiya family exceeded all of those. Lots of love and respect to Mr Hem, Mrs Shanti, Sajjan (he truly is a friend- Sajjan means friend), Rana and Manica.

Delightful stay

✓ Comfortable rooms, helpful staffs, delicious breakfast. The hotel is located near the center, making it possible to walk most of its city attractions.

Only the apartment rooms with a kitchen have balconies. The staff are wonderful and friendly.
