A lovely and quiet place

✓ Breakfast is usually from 7am but for I had to run a trail race from 7am I asked the owner whether they could prepare breakfast earlier. They actually prepared it for 5:50am which was very helpful, and the breakfast was also good. The place itself is very clean and the neighborhood very quiet which is perfect for people looking for an environment far from the noise. The owner and the old lady who prepared my breakfast were very kind to me.

✗ The floor (I was at the 1st floor) was a little noisy because it was made of wood, but it wasn't a big issue in the end.

✓ I had the pleasure of returning to Nugget In for a second time and it was just as wonderful as the first. Mr. OhTani and Ms. Toshiko welcomed us back with open arms and made us feel right at home. The level of care and attention to detail they provide is truly exceptional. I couldn't imagine a better homestay experience. I look forward to the day when I can return again.

✓ The peace and quiet

✗ Shuttles to and from the snow are infrequent.

Entirely comfortable and pleasant- very friendly owner operators, locally born and raised.

✓ Everything and they have wonderful homemade jam for sale and excellent house wines.

✗ They didn’t supply tooth brushes which was a first for me in Japan so caught unawares- easily solved at the nearby convenience store.
