Royal Danube Apartments

Beautiful, comfortable and functional apartment in a perfect location.

✓ We stayed at Madach Imre with Royal Danube as a group of 6 women, and we found the apartment to be perfect for our holiday. The apartment itself is spacious and airy, with comfortable beds and no noise - despite such a central location. Each room has an en suite shower - only one of the rooms has the toilet en suite, but there is an extra toilet attached to the main living area for the other two rooms to use. We loved the location on the square, within very easy reach of all of the evening action of the ruin bars. The synagogue is a two minute walk from here, fashion street about five minutes, chain bridge a ten minute wander. Lots of great cafes and restaurants right outside the apartment - we particularly loved La Table, a little French bistro serving all sorts of lovely breakfasts. The seating area, dining and kitchen space are great - we didn’t cook anything as we were out and about, but the kitchen appeared to have all the main accoutrements needed should we have wanted to make a meal. Excellent views up and down the main boulevard from the balconies French doors, and a clear view of Pest on the other side of the river - fabulous sunset pictures can be taken. We all came away saying we would come back with family and stay here. Betty, the apartment contact/owner/manager is highly responsive and helpful and answers questions and queries quickly and helpfully.

✗ Some of the standard lamps were not working, the iron didn’t work - however, I’m certain if we had been desperate Betty would have found a solution and got one to us. Bedrooms could do with some small bedside tables - we used our hard cabin cases at bedsides for this. Maybe some more solid pillows would be good as well, but this is personal preference as at least two of us prefer this.

✗ The building doesn't look like the picture.Quite difficult to find .It is on the corner of 2 streets next to an Italian restaurant and faces the park / big wheel .

Good value for money, perfect location

✓ Very good location, the flat is quite spacious, we also appreciated the separated bathrooms

✗ The rooms are a bit noisy with the windows opened and since the A/C is only in one of the bedrooms the other bedrooms were a bit warm. The communication could be improved a bit.
