Affordable but did not fit description and expectations

✓ Claudia was very sweet and met up with us quickly after booking, as we made a last-minute booking. Her English is not great but manages to communicate well anyway. The place is very well located, close to the beach, the harbor and the town center. The apartment is clean and spacious.

✗ Upon arrival, it turned out that the apartment we had booked wasn't available and we were allocated another apartment. This disappointed me and my two friends because we had specifically booked the one with the terrace to enjoy a nice dinner outdoors. We decided to accept the offer to stay in the place without a terrace because it was too late in the evening to find another place. The kitchen was quite well equipped, but we could tell that no one was living there because there we some things missing that would have been quite handy, such as tablets for the dishwasher, or at least a sponge and detergent for doing the dishes... Also, there was no hot water in the shower though Claudia had assured us that the boiler was on, and the AC in the living room did not work. The beds were very hard as well.

✓ Clean, safe, and sufficiently equipped. The studio apartment is well kept, conveniently located near the harbour. Hostess Claudia is warm, welcoming, and takes necessary steps to follow Covid cleanliness guidelines. Beds are comfortable. The apartment provides a clean LPG stove top, boiling tap water, kitchen utensils and tools to help you cook your own food. A CONAD supermarket is just 200 m away. Some nice cafeterias, gelaterias are also near by (small town with a big iron mine!) if you wish to support local business. We really appreciated that the hostess let us check-in 90 minutes earlier than originally agreed.

✗ These are not negative points but just points to note for anybody travelling with children. The bathroom has a dysfunctional lock (broken lock) that makes it very difficult to use with children playing mischief. The dining table is too high as the chairs have a low base for children (below 3). The bathroom is spacious but the shower box can be limiting. Take additional warm cloths (specifically pair of socks) if travelling during spring or late autumn. Post-sunset and early morning hours make the apartment (with its stone flooring) very cold and it is hard to use the electrified ground-level burner in presence of young toddlers. It would help if the owner explains waste disposal to residents (or residents should ask the hostess to explain at the time of check-in). There are multiple bins with specific days written on them but it is unclear how to use them. The hostess can improve the safety of the heavy wooden chest of drawers since they are not fastened with locks. They are heavy, and can fall off if pulled out and can be dangerous with children around (we had a near miss). Some old broken cutlery (with sharp edges) and old mosquito repellent were found in some of those unused drawers (by children) and care is desired to avoid mishaps in future.
