Fabulous

✓ The cave like appearance of the property was very appealing. The room was large and well furnished. The pool although quite small was a delight. The food at breakfast and dinner were excellent.

✗ The property was small and there was no where to walk in the local vicinity of the hotel. It was a car or taxi ride into Matera.

✓ Beautiful property and very comfortable rooms, with a nice buffet breakfast. No problem parking onsite either. Basquiat Restaurant is OUTSTANDING. We had dinner there in the evening and can honesty say it was best food we ate in Italy. Highly recommend eating there. The staff were amazing too.

Amazing pool hidden away from city crowds

✓ The old residence and pool, including the view, were stunning. Breakfast was quite nice, but a bit limited. The room was actually simple, but clean and it offeres everything you need.

✗ Wearing a cap in the swimming pool is so annoying, but at least they offer it for 2e. You definitely need a car for this location to visit Matera, but its only 10min drive till the parking in old town.

luxurious stay in the outskirts of intreaging Matera...

✓ This hotel is situated quite far from the center of intreging Matera in an industrial zone with lots of good service (supermarkets, barbers, carproblems, daytime restaurants), about ten minutes with car from hotspots. But; the hotel are luxuriously appeling, and the service excellent. They also have a inhouse restaurant serving realy good food. The structure in it self reminds of litte castle and really appeling. Parking perfect. breakfast good, poolarea fantastic; yea; this is a realy good hotel.

✗ More or less nothing; we had some captious arguments in the restaurant about milk in the the coffee (they dont have milk of some reason); and the hiking aspect is of course a prob. But with a car and some sobriety there is not realy a problem. A realy exellent hotel with good and hepful staf.

Totally recommended!

✓ Amazing and impressive property! An oasis-like surprise once you enter the gate via the ugly industrial area of Matera. Lovely pool area, view over the valley, rooms simple but nicely appointed, only 7 minutes drive from the historical centre. Totally recommended!

✗ Shame there were no coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Great find ( in middle of industrial estate) and lovely well maintained rooms .

✓ Lovely building . Great pool. nice rooms Friendly staff Lovely food in restaurant too

✗ Shower in room 12 low pressure and Luke warm at most. Did mention to management but didn’t get any better. Also constant loud speaker music from 8 am till 11pm each night .
